Exploring STEM and Business: A Day at ASU with Congolese Families

Every year, we organize a wonderful field trip in full partnership with ASU for Congolese families, which includes both students and parents, to Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe. This annual adventure is designed to inspire and educate participants about exciting careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), and business.

We start our journey on a comfortable charter bus, filled with anticipation and excitement for a day of learning and discovery.

Upon arrival at ASU, participants have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the university environment. They get to meet and talk with college students and professors, who share their experiences and insights into various career paths. Our attendees tour state-of-the-art labs and facilities, where they witness cutting-edge research and innovations in action.

Throughout the day, there are numerous interactive science and engineering activities that spark curiosity and creativity. Whether it’s hands-on experiments or captivating demonstrations, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Additionally, participants learn about the academic and social aspects of college life, gaining a genuine understanding of what it means to be a college student.

To keep everyone energized and focused, lunch is always provided during the trip. This field trip not only broadens horizons but also strengthens the sense of community among Congolese families. It fosters a shared excitement and ambition for the future, helping students and parents see the many possibilities that lie ahead.

Overall, this annual field trip to ASU is a fantastic opportunity for Congolese families to explore new horizons, learn about potential career paths, and build lasting connections with the university and each other.
